Engineering use and professional responsibility
Strutrix Studio is an engineering analysis and decision-support tool, not a substitute for the independent judgement of a qualified professional. Its results must be reviewed and approved by a licensed engineer before they are used for design, a drawing, a submittal or construction.
Results depend on the information, assumptions, criteria and code provisions selected by the user: the geometry, the supports and releases, the sections and materials, the loads and their combinations, and the analysis chosen for each combination. The program analyses frames of linearly elastic members under static loads. Plates, walls and solids, dynamic and time-history response, material nonlinearity, wind and earthquake load generation for buildings, sag-tension calculations, connections and base plates are outside its scope; it designs steel members only, and a steel design is made only from combinations analysed by the direct analysis method. Support reactions handed to another program are the loads of the structure as analysed, and are for that program's engineer to review as any other loads.
You are responsible for reviewing all inputs, validating calculations, interpreting results and determining whether the information produced is suitable for a particular project, jurisdiction, design, drawing or submittal.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RamisoftSolutions is not liable for decisions made or actions taken in reliance on information produced by the software, or for resulting designs, losses, damages or claims. All results must be independently verified before professional or construction use.
Using an AI assistant with your cloud projects
You may connect an AI assistant of your choosing to your cloud projects, where it acts with your account. Everything it submits is your submission: the inputs it takes from what you give it, the jobs and structures it creates, and the questions it answers on your behalf are yours to review as if you had entered them yourself, and the responsibility above applies to them in full. The assistant and its provider are not part of our service; we are not responsible for how an assistant reads a document or states a value, nor for the provider's availability or terms. We may suspend an assistant's access that disrupts the service or is used in breach of these terms, without affecting your own.
Changes to these terms
We will post any change here, with a new effective date.
